The decision to use beeswax was actually what inspired me to create Meli Candles. There was no other choice. It has taken years to hone my craft, to create the perfect scented beeswax candle. It is an honour to fill your space with the magic that only beeswax can bring.

Natural & non-toxic

We source our beeswax from local Australian apiarists. We know the origins of our wax. No bleaching, no importing, no unknowns.

Clean, slow burn

Beeswax burns longer as it has a higher melting point. It’s cleaner compared to other waxes such as soy, coconut and paraffin.

Subtle honey aroma

Beeswax imparts its own unique honey aroma, straight from the hive. We add paraffin-free fragrance oil and look forward to creating an unscented range in the near future. In Greek, the word “Meli” means honey.

Warm, golden glow

Beeswax naturally produces a light spectrum similar to sunlight, creating a calming golden atmosphere.

Sustainable

Beeswax is biodegradable, renewable and our South Australian beeswax is locally sourced.

It is no coincidence that our Churches and the Ancient Greeks used beeswax candles. It has long symbolised purity, light and connection to the sacred.
